Breckenridge

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

Recently returned from a ski trip in Breckenridge, CO. Being accustomed to bunny hills of the mid-Atlantic, I probably don’t need to tell you it was the most amazing skiing I’ve ever done. Skied for three days over the long weekend, and loved every minute of it. Posted some pictures here, check ‘em out.

Man vs. Wild

I have found my new favorite show on TV. Bear Grylls hosts Man vs. Wild, a survival show where Bear demonstrates how to survive in extreme conditions with limited resources. In the most recent episode, Bear demonstrates how to survive in the African Savannah. Not only did he come across every imaginable wild African animal (Snakes, Elephants, Lions, Hippos, etc.), but he shows survival techniques such as drinking the moisture from fresh elephant dung, and eating the flesh from a fly infested Zebra carcass. This guy is definitely the real deal, check it out if you get the chance. You can catch it on the Discovery Channel on Fridays at 9 p.m.

I’ve added pictures to the site. I’m linking my Flickr Photos using a very sweet tool called FlickrBox.

From Naggle about FlickrBox:

FlickrBox is a CSS / PHP / JavaScript based Flickr Photo gallery that lets you display your recent Flickr photos and public photosets right on your own site using the Flickr API. One of the key differences between his script and others like it is that you can view the full sized image from within your own website without having to navigate to Flickr. ”

I eventually plan on adding a slideshow on the sidebar as well.
